Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)

This course is the one of a three-part series focused on the well-being of couples and families. This course dovetails with its two sister courses, Utilizing Cognitive Behaviour Therapy in Couples Therapy, a 16 week course and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy with Familes, a 20 week course.  All courses are led by a facilitator who is credentialed in both marriage and family therapy and cognitive behaviour therapy and utilizes her knowledge and skills in face to face practice with individulas and family systems experiencing distress.  While this course is not meant to replace in depth studies such as provided by a Masters Degree in couple and family studies, it will be beneficial to those who wish to implement a cognitive behavioural approach in working with couples and family systems, and will enhance the role of the therapist in heping all components of families return to a healtheir way of functioning.
