  As a private therapist Suzie Le Brocq has a lifelong passion for working with people. Suzie values every therapeutic experience that she engages in, & maintains a level of humour, honesty & integrity in her work. Training in both the UK (as a native Brit) & North America (USA / Canada), her career in the field of addiction & eating disorders has taken her to Europe, North America & the South Pacific. She has an extensive understanding of the treatment of addiction from a number of different treatment modalities & methodologies. Suzie is also an Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counsellor (ICADC) as well as an Internationally Certified ‘Advanced’ Alcohol & Drug Counsellor (ICAADC) through the International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium (IC & RC). She is also a Master Practitioner in Counselling Psychology (MPCP) through The Canadian Professional Counsellors Association (CPCA). Suzie also holds the titles of being an Internationally Certified Co-Occurring Disorders Professional Diplomat (ICCDPD) through International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium & She is a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist-Supervisor (CSAT-S) through the International Institute of Trauma & Addiction (IITAP). Suzie has 15 years global experience, working primarily with individuals & families dealing with addiction (drug, alcohol, gambling, process & sex addition) as well as individuals suffering with an eating disorder. Recognizing the importance of treating addiction as a family disease, Suzie work’s predominately with a cognitive-behavioural model of therapy, focusing on the relationship between a person’s thinking, emotions & behaviours. Suzie also takes a ‘trauma informed’ approach to her work with addicts & their families, & she has a good understanding of the 12 Steps. Suzie specializes in working with men & women struggling with sex addiction. Treating the family as a whole is key to the treatment she provides; which includes, co-dependency / individual / couples & family counselling, group therapy including inpatient continuing care & an intensive out-patient program, drug monitoring, clinical consultation in the aforementioned areas. Suzie is also certified in the ‘Systemic Family Intervention Model’.
