CACCF Announces the Appointment of New Board Members

The CACCF is excited to announce the appointment of an internationally respected authority in the addiction industry, Dr. Ian Rabb O.D.

The CACCF announced today the appointment of Ian Rabb to the Board of Directors. Ian joins an all Indigenous female leadership team, President Barb Robinson, Vice- President Stephanie Kehoe, and additional executive board members, Treasurer Tejinder Singh Gill, Secretary Jessica Cooksey, and Directors at Large – Jefferson Ribout, Nicole Landin, Sarah Warry, David Burns, Liana Sullivan and Crystal Smalldon as our long term Executive Director. The Board of Directors wishes to thank outgoing board member Joanna Journet for her years of support and wish her well as she continues the monumental task of the management of major treatment programs across British Columbia.

“Joining the board, Ian brings with him extensive knowledge and an innovative and evidence-based approach to addictions counselling,” said Crystal Smalldon. “Ian also has an expansive understanding of how best to integrate addictions counselling approaches within the context of recovery centres.”

Ian Rabb is one of the most recognized and respected leaders in Addiction Treatment in Canada today. Ian is a certified Interventionist and addictions specialist who has helped thousands of people overcome addiction. In his 20 years of sobriety, he has founded Two Ten Recovery and Destiny House — Winnipeg’s only sober living housing organization. Ian was the visionary founding member of other recovery centres in Manitoba and most recently held the position of Director of Business Development at Edgewood Health Network. Prior to his work in addiction treatment Ian was a practicing Doctor of Optometry.
