Recently, there was a report that was issued to CACCF from The Domestic Violence Death Review Committee through the Office of the Chief Coroner.
CACCF is fully committed to implementing 100% of the recommendations of the Domestic Violence Death Review Committee.
The first one that we will be implementing will affect your next recertification and all new certifications going forward.
Effective December 1, 2021, ALL recertification’s are required to have 2 Intimate Partner Violence Training Sessions in order to recertify. This will mean that of your 40 hours that you take every 2 years, 2 must be completed in the manner noted below. THIS MUST BE THE TRAINING MENTIONED BELOW to qualify.
CACCF has formed a partnership with our friends at the Last Door Recovery Society and will be paying the cost of the training for you.
You will be required to attend 1 training per year, and we will be offering 2 trainings per year so that you can ensure you can take part in at least 1 training per year to update your skills on Intimate Partner Violence. Again, there is NO COST to you for this training as CACCF is paying all costs associated with this training.
The next training is taking place on May 3, 6 pm EST.
You can register at this link: https://forms.gle/qEs5bJtZktB7iyJm7
Registration is REQUIRED and your attendance will be tracked and recorded in your profile to ensure compliance with this new Certification Requirement. This requirement is Canada wide.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to CACCF Executive Director Crystal Smalldon directly at email@example.com
Thank you for your compliance with this change and to your continued hard work in the field.
